Saubermacher & REMONDIS: Strategic partnership sealed

The proposed partnership between Saubermacher AG and REMONDIS has been finalized following approval by the competition authorities. The Roth Private Foundation remains the majority owner, holding 72.21% of the shares. Saubermacher will therefore continue to be managed independently, with operational responsibility at every level remaining with the existing management. The partnership builds on a long-standing and positive relationship between the two companies, strengthens long-term security of supply for customers, and creates additional opportunities for the further development of the circular economy.

The demands on waste and resource management are constantly increasing. Investments in infrastructure, digitalization, and innovative recycling solutions are becoming increasingly important. With this investment, Saubermacher—a well-established family-owned company—is strengthening its position in a dynamic market environment. The company is a key player in the market in Austria and Southeast Europe and is known for its quality, innovative strength, and a value-oriented corporate culture. Synergies with REMONDIS, one of the leading companies in recycling, water management, and the circular economy, create a solid foundation for long-term growth.

Shared values, strong prospects

Saubermacher and REMONDIS are united by a shared understanding of responsibility. Both companies stand for long-term thinking, innovative strength, and a pioneering spirit in waste and resource management. At the heart of this is their commitment to responsibly shaping the environment and society and developing solutions that combine ecological responsibility with economic stability. For customers from municipalities, cities, commerce, industry, and public institutions, this collaboration means additional stability, guaranteed recycling channels, and access to international expertise. At the same time, Saubermacher remains a reliable partner for its customers as an independently managed and regionally rooted company. For the approximately 4,000 employees across eight countries, the partnership also creates long-term prospects and additional opportunities for professional and personal development in an international environment.
